Nokta (Dot) is an abstract film project which is an improvisation of organic pieces while considering themes like power, chance and luck.
I also wanted a perspective that can be subjectified by
viewers.

‘I see some correspondence between the foundation of universal harmony on elliptical orbit and the predilection for the elliptic forms in Baroque architecture. In both cases harmony is still defined as unity within multiplicity, but it ceased to be static, namely, harmony expressed in one ideal geometrical form, and became so to speak dynamic. What was previously regarded as the deviation from the ideal form, was comprehended for the first time as an integral part of the form, or form of forms, which are capable of endless transitions one into another. ‘ [Amos Funkenstein, The Dialectical Preparation of Scientific Revolutions. Project SAM, an Utrecht based company that creates orchestral samples, approached me to create a series of short promo’s for their products. Their samples differ from heavy sounding brass to tiny piccolo Fx. With only a few keywords given to me I had carte blanche to create short scenes that would fit the possible atmosphere of a score created by the samples. It was a challenge using filmcliches like suspense, manhunt, reveiling, etc. without making it to well known. Technically every movie has a different treatment. Most of them are a mixture of 3d modeling and camera projection, with stockfootage and some other elements added in post-production.
